About this piece
An arched oak frame with your pet cut into the mount
The arch is the oldest portrait format there is — it predates the rectangle by about a thousand years. We chose it because an arch has no corners to fight with, so the eye goes straight to the face.
We start from a photograph you already have — a phone snap is usually enough. Our studio redraws the outline by hand, simplifying the fur into a single continuous line, then cuts that line through the mount so the timber behind shows through as the silhouette.
The result reads differently at different distances: a clean shape from across the room, and the particular set of your dog's ears when you stand in front of it.

- Dust the frame with a dry cloth. Keep out of direct sun — the engraving is colour-stable but the timber will warm over the years, which most people like.

Exactly her ears

Worth the wait

Slightly smaller than I pictured
The quality is genuinely excellent and the engraving is sharper than I expected. I should have paid the extra for the 11 × 14 — the 8 × 10 is a little small on the wall I had in mind. My fault, not theirs.
