Ordering & personalization

Can I see it before you make it?

Yes — that is how every order works. Once you have uploaded your photo and chosen your options we render a preview. Nothing goes to the bench until you have looked at it and approved it.

How many changes can I make to the preview?

As many as you need. There is no limit and no charge. We would far rather render it six times than remake it once.

Can I order without creating an account?

You can — add to your bag, upload your photo and check out as a guest. You get a link to track the order. An account just means your uploads and previews are saved for next time.

Do you do two pets in one piece?

Not in a single outline — two heads read as a smudge at small sizes. We do make pieces with two separate panels. Email us and we will tell you which formats work for your animals.

Can I change my engraving after ordering?

Any time before you approve the preview. Once you approve it the piece goes to the bench, and changing it after that means remaking it at cost.

Photos & artwork

What kind of photograph works best?

A front-on or full-profile shot, taken at your pet's eye level, in daylight from the side. At least 800 pixels on the shorter side. A phone photo is genuinely fine — we redraw every outline by hand anyway.

My pet has passed away and my only photo is old. Can you still use it?

Yes, and it is most of what we do. Age, grain and a slightly soft focus are all workable. Upload what you have and we will tell you honestly whether it will engrave well before you pay.

Can I upload more than one photo?

For a single-profile piece, one clear photograph is better than several. For pieces that carry two animals, upload one photograph per panel — each has its own upload slot.

What happens if my photo is not usable?

We email you within one working day, tell you exactly what is wrong, and suggest what to try instead. Your order sits still until you send something that works. If we cannot make it work, you get a full refund.

Shipping & delivery

How long will my order take?

Each product page shows the real number of working days our studio needs before dispatch — between 2 and 8 depending on the piece. Delivery is 5–8 working days after that on standard, 2–3 on express.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Duties and import taxes are the recipient's responsibility and are not included in the price you pay us.

Is shipping free?

Standard delivery is free on orders over $75. Below that it is $5.95. Express is $14.95.

Can you ship straight to the person I am gifting it to?

Yes. Enter their address at checkout and add a gift message. We leave the price off every packing slip as standard.

Returns & guarantees

Can I return a personalized piece?

Not for a change of mind, because it was made specifically for you and cannot be resold. But if what arrives does not match the preview you approved, we remake it at our cost. No argument.

What if it arrives damaged?

Email hello@pawcreator.com with your order number and a photograph within 30 days. We will remake it and send it out on express at our cost.

Can I cancel?

Any time before you approve the artwork preview, for a full refund. After that the piece is on the bench and we cannot stop it.

Products & materials

What is the engraving actually like?

On timber we cut through the mount so the frame behind shows through as the silhouette. On metal and stone the profile is cut 0.1–0.2 mm into the surface. In every case it is a solid shape, not a printed photograph — that is why it will still look right in thirty years.

Will the engraving fade?

No. There is no ink and no pigment — it is removed material. Timber will darken slightly with light over the first year, which usually makes the contrast stronger rather than weaker.

Do the pieces come with a guarantee?

Every piece carries a five-year guarantee against the engraving, the joinery and the hardware. If something fails we replace it.

Care & keepsake longevity

How do I look after a timber piece?

Dust with a dry cloth. Keep it out of direct sun and away from radiators. A little hard wax oil every couple of years if it starts to look dry.

How do I look after vermeil jewelry?

Keep it away from perfume, hairspray and chlorine, and wipe it with the cloth we send. Vermeil is a thick layer of gold over silver rather than a plating, so it will outlast the chain if you are even slightly careful.

Will the leather charm change colour?

Yes, and that is the point. Vegetable-tanned leather starts pale and goes honey, then chestnut, then dark at the edges where you handle it. It ends up looking better than the day it arrived.

Can I wear a memorial piece every day?

The jewelry, yes — that is what it is for. The stone pieces are meant to be handled rather than carried in a pocket with keys.
