What we hold, why, and how to make us stop
We are a small painting studio, and the only reason we hold anything about you is to make the thing you ordered and get it to you. We do not sell it, and we do not hand it to advertisers. The one thing we measure — which pages help people find the right piece — we measure only if you say yes.
What we hold, and what it is for
- Your name, email and phone
- To paint and send your order, and to write to you about it. The phone number is optional.
- Delivery and billing address
- To send the piece, and to charge the right person for it.
- The photograph you upload
- To design your proof and to paint from. This one we treat differently — see below.
- What you chose
- Size, frame, the names and dates you asked for. Without these we cannot paint the right animal with the right name on it.
- Your account
- Email, name, and a password we keep only as a hash — which means we cannot read it, and neither can anyone who takes our database. An account is optional; you can order as a guest.
- Your Google account, if you sign in with it
- Google tells us your account identifier, your email address and your name. It does not tell us your Google password, and signing in here gives us no access to anything else in your Google account.
- What you write to us
- Messages between you and the studio, and any review you leave — published under whatever display name you choose.
- Your email, if you asked for the newsletter
- Nothing else. Unsubscribing takes one click, in every email.
Your photograph
Most of what we are sent is a photograph of an animal who has died. We know what that is, and the platform is built around that rather than around the usual e-commerce assumptions.
Your upload goes into private storage — not the public one every product photograph on this site sits in. Nothing points at it over the open web. It is read back only through a link that expires, and only for the account that uploaded it; a request for anyone else's photograph is answered as though it does not exist, so the system will not even confirm that it is there. On the way in, the location data and camera details are stripped out of the file — GPS included — before anything is written to disk.
The proof we design from it and the production files we paint from are treated the same way.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with advertising networks. No advertising pixel, no session recorder, no third-party font or widget that could watch you read. What comes from anywhere else is Google's sign-in button, which loads only when the page offers it; Stripe's card form, on the payment page only; and Google Analytics, only if you accept it — see Cookies.
Who else touches it
Running a shop means using other people's infrastructure. Our hosting and email providers see what they need to do their jobs. Google knows you signed in, and only if you chose to. If you pay by card, the card details go straight to a payment processor and never reach our servers — we could not read them if we wanted to. The studio's own address book, order list and customer records are the only places any of it lands after that.
Your photograph goes to none of them. It stays in storage we control, and the only people who open it are the painters working on your piece and the studio lead.
How long we keep it
An order and its paperwork stay as long as tax and accounting rules require — a few years, not forever. Your photograph stays while the order it belongs to is live; write to us and we will delete it, and we will tell you plainly if a paid order still depends on it rather than quietly refusing. A newsletter address lasts until you unsubscribe. The rest goes when you close your account — yourself, under Account settings, or by asking us.
What you can ask us to do
Write to hello@pawcreator.com from the address on your account, and within a few working days we will tell you everything we hold about you, correct anything wrong, delete it, or send it to you in a file. You do not need to give a reason, and we will not ask for one.
Children
This shop is for adults. We do not knowingly keep information about anyone under 16. If you believe we have, write to us and we will remove it.
Changes, and who to ask
If any of this changes in a way that affects you, this page changes with it and we will say so on the site rather than slip it past you.

Last updated 26 September 2026. If you would rather not read the whole thing: we hold what an order needs and nothing else, and you can ask us to delete any of it. Write to the studio and a person will answer.
