About this piece
A wall plaque in honed slate or brass
Hangs flush with no visible fixings. The brass version is left unlacquered on purpose — it will darken unevenly over the years, which is how brass is supposed to behave.
We cut the profile first and set the lettering around it by eye, so the spacing is right for the particular shape of your animal.

They got the spacing right
The lettering is set around the shape of her head rather than in a straight line, which is the sort of thing you would not think to ask for. Slate, and it looks like it has always been on that wall.
